We are now offering live, interactive, online dog training classes. See below for more information.
Are you ready for a more manageable, polite dog? Does your dog completely ignore you when you need it most or listen well at home but not when guests visit or while outside? Our classes focus on giving you the skills and knowledge you need to have a dog that will respond to you in the real world. We have a high instructor to student ratio (1:2 or 1:3) so each student gets plenty of individual attention! We use positive reinforcement, science based methods that are effective and kind. **During the coronavirus pandemic, we are offering online classes. Scroll down for more information** All indoor classes are taught at Milton Manor in Middle Grove, outdoor classes are taught in Saratoga or Ballston Spa.
Dog training classes
This class specifically focuses on building better self-control in our dogs. Great for all dogs, but particularly young and/or excitable dogs. We use training exercises and games to improve your dog’s self-control. We work on a number of behaviors, but the main focus will be on stay, leave it, walking past distractions on a leash and polite greeting behavior.
This is an online class and will meet once a week for 30 minutes via a Zoom call. Personal feedback will be provided during the 30-minute Zoom calls as you work with your dog at home. Students are also strongly encouraged to videotape themselves working with their dogs – this is most important for on-leash work and greeting behavior. Although it can be very helpful to have a 2nd person to take video for you, this is not necessary – you can simply prop up your cell phone and work in your driveway or back yard. $90 for 4 weeks. Class instructor: Brendan Dubia.
